FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The most common questions about our services, how we work and digital cinema.
AHA DCS and our services
What does AHA DCS do?
AHA DCS Entertainment Experts offers three services in one team for cinema chains and independent cinemas: digital cinema solutions (projection, sound, server and TMS installation), operations management (remote monitoring, content and KDM, maintenance, reporting) and consultancy (feasibility, investment planning, technology roadmap, revenue optimisation).
Are you tied to a specific projector or sound brand?
No. We are not tied to a single manufacturer; AHA DCS recommends equipment based on the hall's size, use and budget.
What size of operators do you work with?
From single-screen independents to multi-site chains. We support new openings, upgrade projects and the operation of existing halls.
Where do you work?
In Türkiye and abroad. Surveys and installations are on site; monitoring and operations support are mostly remote, with on-site service when needed. We work in Turkish and English.
Can I buy just one service?
Yes. You can take installation only, monitoring only or a one-off consultancy report, or hand over the whole operation.
Process and quotes
How do you start a project?
With a site survey. We review the halls, existing equipment and your business goals on site, then bring technical design, budget and timeline into one roadmap. Installation, operation and regular reporting follow.
What information do you need for a quote?
Number of halls, approximate screen sizes and seat capacity, existing equipment (if any) and your goal (new hall, upgrade, operations support). Share them through the contact form and we will fill any gaps in a call.
What do you hand over at the end of an installation?
Equipment inventory, brightness, colour and sound measurement reports and a maintenance schedule. Your team is trained, and support continues under a service agreement.
Digital cinema
What does DCI-compliant mean?
It means the equipment meets the system specification published by Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), the joint venture of the major studios. Commercial films arrive as encrypted packages (DCPs) built to that specification and need a DCI-compliant projector and media block. More: projector guide.
What are DCP and KDM?
A DCP is the film's digital package; a KDM is the key that unlocks an encrypted package on a specific hall's device within a set time window. More: DCP and KDM guide.
Should I move from xenon to laser?
Laser removes lamp changes, keeps brightness steadier and generally uses less energy. The decision is made hall by hall based on projector age and budget. More: xenon to laser.
What is a TMS?
A Theatre Management System manages content, KDMs, playlists and automation for every hall from one screen. More: TMS guide.
